vision

IDA’s mission is to provide dance education through collaboration.

purpose

Our studio's goal is to mentor recreational and pre-professional dancers and give them the opportunity to develop and cultivate their own artistic voice.

At IDA, we are proud to offer a unique program inspired by and created for dance artists.

Together, we inspire, challenge, educate, and create.

Our dancers are encouraged to explore and show their talent, creativity, and self expression on and off stage.

It is not uncommon for our dancers to choreograph their own solos by the time they enter their Junior year. Choreographing one's own solos helps the student to build confidence, develop an artistic voice, and improve and refine their technique.

Dancing

IDA Company

IDA Company consists of dancers who are not able to participate in their home studio’s competition team, which is primarily due to their dance commitment outside their home studio, be it convention assistance, industry engagements, or other dance activities that prevent them from joining their home studio’s team.

IDA Company dancers are not required to attend all conventions and/or competitions we attend during the season and are allowed to pick and choose which event works with their busy schedule.

In addition to training with IDA, we require IDA Company members to be registered with a dance studio and attend a minimum of dance classes (including technique classes) with said studio. Registration with such training facilities will be verified prior to acceptance to IDA Company and periodically during the dance season.

IDA Company members are exclusive, and while allowed to compete independently, dancers are not allowed to register and compete under any other studio's name.

*Please note: We do not condone "competition-hopping."
